This will be a presentation of the Cycling Canada NCCP Training to Race workshop.  Discussions will focus on core competencies required by Coaches to support cyclists in preparation for competition.

Topics to be included:
  • Methodology of physical training
  • Designing a sport program
  • Periodisation and meso/microcycle planning
  • Basic mental skills
The workshop modules will be presented via approximately 6hrs of home study, plus 12 hours of in-class:
  • Mon 19 Nov - home study material provided
  • Fri 23 Nov - 1800-2200h
  • Sun 15 Nov - 1000-1600h
Participants have to submit the home-study tasks, and attend all in-class parts to complete the workshop.  In-class sessions will take place in Vancouver.  Partial attendance may be recorded and combined with future training.  Registrants will be provided reference materials.  This workshop is one of the five parts needed for full training in the cycling NCCP.

Note: A minimum of 8 participants is required to run this course.  You must be a member of Cycling BC prior to registering for this course.
